Surveys sent, Guillaume Singelin news, and a cool new campaign

Hi all!

It has been a few weeks since our last update announcing the Smoke Test surveys. In fact, since that update, we've sent the rest of the surveys (which it seems most of you got and completed -- thanks!). If you didn't get a survey email yet, let us know and we'll help you out. It could be that you a) used a privaterelay.apple.id email address on Kickstarter, b) used Kickstarter's "Pledge over time" feature, or c) your link got caught in you spam or quarantine folder.

If a), please message us here on Kickstarter with an alternate email address where you can receive messages. Privaterelay.apple.id addresses don't receive or deliver messages to their users, so they're kind of useless for us. If you can provide a functional alternative, we'll update your Pledge Manager accordingly and resend the link to that new address.

If b), Kickstarter is collecting your pledge in three regular installments. It looks like the first two were completed on October 4th, with the final installment scheduled for November 4th. At that point, once the final amount collected by Kickstarter is determined, BackerKit will generate your survey link. So you should get your survey link within 48 hours or so of that final collection. If for some reason Kickstarter is unable to collect any of those installment payments, you can still complete payment on BackerKit. Your Pledge information has imported into BackerKit, so we can see how much was collected vs. how much is left, and we can collect that balance (with any new balance due) when we lock the Pledge Manager orders (probably around November 20th).

Guillaume Singelin has been busy (on other projects, as well as) drawing the poster for the upcoming UNDER COMMONS VOL.2 Exhibit at the Art Center NEW located on the first basement floor of Shin-Takashima Station on the Minatomirai Line in Tokyo Japan! 

This hybrid exhibition celebrates both games and art, and Guillaume is a perfect representative for where those roads meet (having provided artwork and visual design for the fantastic Citizen Sleeper1 and 2...)

Smoke test surveys have begun

Hi everyone!

Sorry for the delay in posting this update -- we were out of the country visiting a bunch of authors in France, and things just got away from us...

But WE HAVE SENT OUT THE SMOKE TEST SURVEYS! If you aren't familiar with this stage in the campaign process, this is a step before the surveys are sent to everyone en masse. Essentially, the "smoke test" is a limited subset of about 5% of the backers selected at random to receive the surveys early so that we can make sure everything is set up correctly in the Pledge Manager. Please be on the lookout for an email from Backerkit on behalf of Label 619-Magnetic Press to see if you're one of the lucky guinea pigs!

The smoke test phase usually takes about 24-48 hours, or until ~75% of those surveys are completed. Assuming we set everything up right, we should get the rest of the survey links sent by this weekend.

We feel confident that everything is set up correctly, but you never know. Just as we got distracted getting ready for last week's travel, we may have missed a switch somewhere. So if you are one of the lucky few to get a smoke test link, please don't ignore it or wave it off as something that can wait! We value your helping us get this stage verified!

If you have any questions or haven't received your links by early next week, let us know, and we'll help you out!

WOW. What a finish!

Hey, everybody!

Man, the last 24 hours were exciting! Not only did we break 1500 backers (unlocking foil gilding on the slipcase books), almost hitting 1700, but you also unlocked the final physical stretch goal bonus -- the metal and enamel keychain!

Just look at all this awesome stuff you unlocked!

We'll start building the pledge manager on Monday, so if anyone reading this missed the campaign, there will be a late-pre-order store on BackerKit up soon!

Tonight, however, we are celebrating!

Hi everyone!

This is it - the last day! The campaign ends in about 9 hours, and we are soooo close to unlocking the last stretch goal...!

We hit 1500 backers overnight, which unlocked the last backer-count stretch goal: Foil Gilding on the Slipcase Hardcovers!

As if the slipcase wasn't already a super-awesome collector's edition of this kick-ass book, the ribbon bookmark and foil page gilding will make it even more luxurious...!

Hi everyone!

We broke 1250 backer count yesterday, so now all hardcovers will include bound-in satin ribbon bookmarks! 

There's one more backer count goal at 1500... can we get there before the campaign closes at 5p PST on Friday?? Spread the word! We know you can do it!

We also believe in you all to help us unlock that last cool stretch goal bonus keychain. ☺️ $100k seems like a lot, but we're only $17.5k away...! With 48 hours left, we think it's very possible! This will be a very cool bonus that will look great on any keyring...

We also wanted to announce that the softcover Add-on of FRONTIER will now include additional pages of Guillaume's production sketches! What was once a 200-page book will now be a 244-page book... for the same price! It seems we are almost entirely out of stock of the original 200-page edition, so we'll be printing an updated (new) edition with the extra material included. (Don't worry -- everyone who adds it in this campaign will get the new edition, not one of the few backstock copies we have left of the "old" edition...) 

Even though FRONTIER is not the focus of this campaign, the book is fantastic, and you really should add it to your pledge if you don't already have it. This title has won several awards, and put Guillaume in rare rockstar company... We're so proud to publish these books for him!

It will be an exciting finish in two days! It'll be even more exciting if we can unlock those last two stretch goals! Tell everyone you know! The sands in the hourglass have almost run out...!
